What is "worklife balance"?
Is it coming to office, reading through all mails and replying them (work ones of cúz)?
Or is it coming to office, going through business mails...while also having your msn online!?
Now top it up with blogs, friendster, gmail + chats...etc, and plus working...thats what I call worklife balance! Balancing your social and work life together...in one pc screen/laptop!
But this is where my company tops it up!
Last Thursday, colleagues were all abuzz about some tango dancing that would be happening after work. Well i did catch posters bout it, and yeah seems interesting. What i didnt know was its actually the company´s initiative for worklife balance. As usual i am always stuck at work till after 7...sometimes 8 (most of the time updating blogs!), this time decided to leave extra early (at 7++pm). Wasnt really sure where the event was in the tower...and i didnt wanna miss the chance of seeing Sandra doing the tango! (scenes of a blind Al Pacino doing the tango with a babe in a forgotten movie)
Wasnt that hard to find the place...as i could already hear loud music and all. Shit...must be late! So as i entered the lobby of the tower...fulamak...there was a like a stage with colorful lights, and a live band playing jazz and south american music! Man...i didnt know it was SOO FREAKIN ELABORATE!! And this was the moment where all managers, interns, cleaners (saw none though) would come together and network! It was like a lounge man...really cool! As it is...i already missed the tango dances (apparently someone wore a skirt so shirt, while dancing her panties was showing)! So of cuz me being the jakun that i am...began to cam whore! As i wasnt with my tie...and using my beg sekolah as always...wasnt surprised when a group asked me to snap a picture of them!
There was wine, champagne, beer...and light snacks! Syiiook habis sialll!! Too bad...i had to pay for them! Nah ah...no way!
But really cool...took the time to network as my predecessor was hushing me here and there to meet this manager and that manager...wasnt really prepared for small talks with managers! But all in all...another great eye opener to the working culture in Europe. Good news is...this things happen once a month, sometimes more! And the name of the event...aptly called "Evening at 6".

Blame it on my OCD but I'll go stark ravin nuts if I don’t correct you:
Its "Get together at 6" and not "Evening at 6". Its always evening at 6pm!!
